I have absolutely no idea what happens before or after this sneak peek, but I think we should just freeze it in time and pretend that it’s all happily ever after from then on. Although we know better. Armando is probably going to be back five seconds later to screw everything up. But at least we’ve got 1:10 minutes of awesome.
I’m sure you can find it with English subtitles somewhere, but in the mean time here goes a quick translation of the dialogue.
Mariana: Why weren’t you a girl?
Julia/Mariana: *cracking up*
Julia: (laughing) What a dork. *smacks her arm*
Mariana: Hey! Don’t be so rough with me.
Julia: I’m sorry! (starts kissing it better until their faces are inches apart)
Mariana: Oh, no, Julia no. No. I’m not going to let your confusion steal another kiss from me. Honestly … you destabilize me. You’re going to drive me insane.
Julia: I’m not confused. Seriously, Mariana, I’m sure. I love you. (kisses her)
Mariana: But Juli–
And then more kissing! Yay!
Anyone else terrified? lol

It’s a soap, I’m always terrified. But Yay kissing!
I’ve been loving the recaps, btw. (bad!Aquila hasn’t said)
LOL – I’m always terrified too.
This translation was the sunshine to my cloudy day. And…yes, I’m feeling a little apprehensive because srlsy SOMEBODY’S “somebody” is bound to have the requisite horrible timing to throw off the game of this OTP, otherwise the tv gods would be very displeased.
I’m confident that Armando will be back in the very near future. He’s been randomly appearing in episodes, calling Julia and even appearing in her dreams. So that whole thing’s not over. He’s going to come back, make Julia all confused again. She’ll probably end up cheating on Mariana with him or something. And it’s all going to be doom and gloom until halfway through the last episode.
Also, I believe they’re introducing Mariana’s biological father (I believe the man that broke into her apartment during episode 40 is going to turn out to be her Dad). So that may be the next twist in the plot line. Mariana might end up leaving or getting distracted with that whole business of finding her father, or something like that, and leave Julia all emo and fragile. Just in time for Armando to swoop back in.
That’s craptastic…and spoilerific…but mostly craptastic. I need happiness, not the angsty “woe is me” stuff.
I don’t know how things are in France, but here in the US we’re DYING from lack of good lesbian storylines on tv (minus Grey’s–I’ll totally give them a prize for being outstanding in their field).
Dear Mexican TV gods,
Please don’t take my sunshine away.
I didnt see that coming thot we would be in the hell that has been the last 5 episodes for a little longer, thot gaby woulda been around for longer messing everything up.
That advance made my day on Friday! In my head there all cute and happy, I just hope the writers give us that for a little while. They did the story justice with that scene, long may the kissing continue, makes me love being a girl that loves girls!!
Hey…just a quick correction on the translation; at first she says” why weren’t you a girl” or “vieja” in spanish, that’s the reason why they start cracking up. And on a quick note: i LOVE your blog, thanks for keeping me informed! ;)
Thanks, Alex! I had been going crazy trying to figure out if she was saying “vieja” or “viejo.” Thanks for the heads up and thanks for reading! :)
